DHI hosted a webinar to mark the launch of the first version of the PHISHES Digital Platform (PDP), coinciding with the midpoint of the PHISHES project. The first version of the PDP is now live at www.phishes-pdp.eu, providing access to the concepts, tools and resources being developed within PHISHES. The webinar offered participants a first look at the platform, its design and architecture, as well as some of the modelling developments that underpin it.

The webinar was presented by PHISHES project members Alex, Silvia, and Elbys. Highlights from the webinar include:

  • Alex presented the PHISHES project background. She described how the project ambition of linking soil data to actions to ensure soil health is supported by the technical work of the project which will be contained and accessible through the PDP. Moreover, she introduced a DHI development for PHISHES integrated modelling, namely dynamic plant growth in the software MIKE SHE, that is available in the PDP modelling repository.
  • Silvia described the user groups targeted by the PDP and how the PDP aims to support these user groups’ needs under the Soil Monitoring and Resilience Directive.
  • Elbys provided an overview of the PDP internal architecture, giving participants a look behind-the-scene to the PDP is design.

The launch represents an important milestone for PHISHES. The platform will continue to evolve as new PHISHES results, modelling workflows and resources become available. Further releases are planned for August 2027, followed by the final version in February 2028.

What’s next for PHISHES?

In September 2026, PHISHES will participate in the SOLO and REMTECH Europe conferences, providing further opportunities to exchange knowledge and engage with researchers, policymakers and other stakeholders.

REMTECH also marks the PHISHES mid-term event on Thursday, 17 September. It is possible to join this hybrid event for free: register here for the REMTECH conference.
